Music To My Ears…

Do you ever wonder why certain types of music can fill us with so much emotion? I even know I am being manipulated into to feeling sad when the Mother-Daughter confrontation is coming up in my Blockbuster rental. But when I hear those violin strings they touch me at a primal level that can not be denied. I know, the hardened cynics are rolling their eyes at me!

Mercury goes retrograde 3 times a year, and it just started again. This time it started on January 28 and it will last until February 19. As usual it is about a 3-week period. What does this mean?

As the name (Mercury Retrograde) implies – it has to do with the planet Mercury. A common misconception is that the planet, Mercury, actually moves backward. In fact it just appears to do so. When we humans observe the planets around this time of year, what we are seeing is Earth and Mercury moving in combination around the Sun.

Even though there is no actual backwards movement, this period warrants our consideration. Nature is giving us clues, and if we implement the appropriate action, our lives can be so much easier.

Mercury is known for representing communication and all processes involved with the mind’s participation – studying, signing of contracts, legal matters, business transactions, etc.
